can't wait to check out oekaki ヾ( ˃ᴗ˂ )◞ been wanting 2 join in but i've been lurking for the past few days, my art is not the best and I am a little nervous to share , but this is a nice place

fun fact. nau made this oekaki about a month ago to practicing.

no irc. but some of the mods and admins here do use xmpp if u ever needed to chat

Simply setting body's font-family to "Mona" will mean that only users with the Mona font installed will see the correct font - everyone else will just get the browser's fallback font (;^Д^)

You need to provide fallbacks and alternatives in font-family for it to work effectively. Also, if you wanna use a font that users don't have installed, you'll have to include a @font-face somewhere linking to the font, which will be automatically downloaded to users (so it's best not to add fonts that are several MBs...)

Here's what's used on Heyuri in various places, which you can copypaste if you want:

font-family: "MS PGothic", IPAMonaPGothic, Monapo, Mona, submona, sans-serif;

Note: Browsers will go through the font-family list from left to right until it finds one that the system has installed or one that's included in a @font-face. Moving a font to the left will increase its priority over those to the right of it, and vice versa

Perhaps you just need to hard refresh - it's showing MS PGothic for me on most of the page now

There are various elements with "font-family: 'Mona';" applied to them however - you should remove those!

i want mona on everything, i even set it to download the font but its not dowloading, i ma trying from my test laptop

I dunno if u solved it, but I seem 2 recall having trouble with using TTF format in font-face, hence why I went with woff2/woff

doesn't koko have kao tags?

I dunno what Mona's supposed to look like, but the font sure did change!

so now thubnails are jpg with proper color background for transparency. this should help make teh site faster loading for people. old thumbnails wont be updated

it seems that changing it to use jpg b0rks the thumbnails in the catalog since it looks for a jpg file when thoese old thumbnails are png

oh well it seems i fixed it, before it was using strictly the file extension in the compression when there was a resolve file extension function! catalog is restored!!!

there is also some secret ones too!

sorry to keep suggesting things, but i also like the category field feature. i think it would be easier to use properly if it gave a combo-box of categories that are already being used when you click on it, so you know that you aren't starting a redundant category. i think that's pretty easy to implement with <datalist> in html.
