    i just obtained an unworking 2011 pc help what do i do with it i couldnt let them throw it away for somereason?!?! igt make me so sad to see computer die icouldnt let them toss her what do i do with it =__=

    You take it to the best repair shop you know or die trying

    And if it works you install windows xp. Its mandatory

    I actually wonder if anybody on nashi uses it on old 2010s hardware

    1111, make a wish ! :o3
    curious , i see lots of use of older softwares , but no appreciation 4 older hardware .. obviously cuz it doesnt run as smooth as modern stuff but it still old and cool !
    repair shop expensive ,,,.... iwonder if i can preform surgery andsave it myself .... 2011 computer cna be my first nashihospital patient (⌒∇⌒ゞ)

    A lot of people are interested in older computer hardware, but it's usually hardware that's old enough to be distinct from currently-available hardware, and mainly for compatibility or nostalgia purposes

    Since things progressed very slowly in the world of PC hardware between the late 2000s and the present (compared to how rapidly things were improving in the 90s and early 2000s), the only difference a 2011 machine will have compared to newer hardware will be that it wastes more time and power to do the same things ^^;

    THAT SAID: I wish you luck in your repairs, and post here if you need help with troubleshooting!

    >I actually wonder if anybody on nashi uses it on old 2010s hardware
    Posting from 2006 hardware!

    nashi smartpeople how do i know what parts i need 2 buy ? i will post hardware info when i get back home ┐(゚~゚)┌ iam hoping that i can just replace the cpu and it will work

    Before you spend money on anything, first you wanna try to pinpoint where the problem is (or at least form a good guess)

    Let us know exactly what happens when you try to turn it on - if there are no signs of life at all (lights coming on, case fans spinning, harddrives spinning up, etc.), it could be a faulty power supply or motherboard, but if there are some signs of life then it could be a variety of other things

    unless you have nothing else a PC from over 10+ years ago isn't worth the trouble of getting to run

    I'd argue that the older it is, the more worth it it is to repair it... but I'd also argue that anything newer than 15-20 years old is a waste of time cuz u can pick up fully-working "old-but-not-that-old" PCs very cheaply/free ^^;
